Spinning Wheel, Russia, mother, black and white, Kizhi Island

On Lake Onega, North of St. Petersburg, is the island of Kizhi. It is an outdoor museum of historic structures from throughout Russia. Part of the museum's call is to preserve the old handicrafts. In one of the old farmhouses this woman was passing the art of spinning wool on to her daughter.
