While the Mela in Sonepur, India, is one of the smaller Hidnu holy gatherings (around 500,00 people), it is accompanied by Asia’s largest livestock fair. Every imaginable farm animal, elephants, camels, dogs, and horses are on display. Horses are shown off by racing back and forth, two at a time, on a hundred meter path through the compound. While his father allowed this boy one ride, next to him, I was able to capture this moment.
