The California coastline along Old Highway US 101 is a photographer's dream location: the lines, the light, and often the added blessing of fog.  However, there are few places to pull off the road; so one needs a helper to drop him off and drive a dozen miles or more to a place where the car can be turned around to return to pick him up.
